Free Walking Tour Welcome to Flamenco
Flamenco has been declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, and is one of the most important manifestations of Andalusian and Sevillian culture. We have created this tour so you can know everything there is to know about this exciting art.
We make this tour at 19:00 every day. We will meet in Plaza del Altozano, next to Flamenco Art statue. It is located at the end Isabel II Bridge (known as Triana Bridge), in Triana’s side of the river. We will finish the tour at the entrance to a free “tablao”, where you can see a flamenco show.
In this free tour we will learn about:
- The origin and history of flamenco
- “Corrales de vecinos”
- What makes flamenco special and what is the difference with other musical styles
- Feria de Sevilla, the great festival in the city
- How to avoid tourist traps, so that you can enjoy quality flamenco
